UNS N08028 alloy pipe is the high alloyed austenitic stainless steel pipe, density is 8.0g/cm³, by virtue of its contents of chromium and molybdenum, the alloy offers resistance to both oxidizing and reducing acids and salts. The presence of copper increases its resistance to sulfuric acid.

Material properties and application

UNS N08028 alloy pipe is used in the chemical and petrochemical processing industry. UNS N08028 alloy pipes are produced by cold work for downhole service in moderately corrosive deep sour gas well. UNS N08028 alloy pipe is an alloy pipe developed to solve the problem of heat exchanger materials for wet process phosphoric acid in the early stage. It has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist the corrosion of H2S, chloride, phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid. It has a large number of applications and excellent performance in oil and gas field exploitation, flue gas desulfurization system, papermaking industry, phosphoric acid, organic acid and ester, etc.

UNS N08028 alloy pipe has the highest nickel content in stainless steel, and is sometimes listed as an iron nickel base corrosion-resistant alloy because the nickel content is more than 30%. In addition to nickel, UNS N08028 alloy pipe has high Cr content and 3% ～ 4% Mo and about 1.0% Cu. Therefore, it has excellent overall corrosion resistance in many strong reducing corrosion environments. Moreover, in some oxidizing, redox and halogen containing media, it can resist both overall corrosion and local corrosion.
